What I really like to sing
I love to sing Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and Rossini. For some strange reason, their music really appeals to me. With Puccini, I often feel the personality of the character right away, there is actually some conflict to use when I´m acting. I really enjoy that. Mozart´s music is just delightful - the phrases, the playfulness, the beautiful, dramatic arias that can be found in most of his operas - I always have found it a pleasure to sing this componist´s works. I really do hope I will be able to play the Contessa one day. I really am "into" the lighter side of Romantic music in general, and fortunately for me, it suits my voice. I am not a fan of Wagner, and I cannot say I can ever see myself singing these heavy things anytime soon. But oh, Carmen and La Traviata or Cavalleria Rusticana... I swoon. There is a reason why I am on my third round of being part of the chorus in La Traviata. Such great music!
